Minutes for September 14, 2007:
Attendence: 7

3:05pm: Meeting convened.

3:10pm: Elections. President, Secretary/Webmaster, and Social Chair were re-elected by unanimous vote. Sydney was elected to the position of Outreach Coordiantor, by unanimous vote.

3:17pm: Tornado machine update. The construction is proceeding well; cutting is done, and sanding will occur this weekend on Sunday Sept. 16 in Reeves Park at 2pm. All that will remain after that is assembly and painting.

3:22pm: Social activities - discussed possible social activity opportunities for early in the fall semester. Suggestions included the perennial game/movie night, as well as the idea of having a dollar theater outing some evening. Game and movie night could easily be held in the NWC, but no date has been set.

3:27pm: Outreach activities - discussed possible outreach activities. Suggestions included repeat participation in SEES, the science fair at the natural history museum (Super Science Family Night), giving tours of the NWC, and going to local elementary schools to give talks on the topic of severe weather.

3:29pm: Ethics training - DO NOT WANT! (Read: Ethics training will be held again this year, and despite the fact that most CASA students have already attended it, we are encouraged to attend again because it will be different and the students conducting the training will benefit from our input on the changes that have been made.)

3:40pm: CASA Journal - we will be doing it again this semester, and any submissions are welcome -- please send them to Corey.
